I have always been active and enjoyed fitness. After having my son, I quit my full-time job to stay at home with him. Once I adjusted to being a mom, I picked up a project I had started before my pregnancy - getting my personal trainer certification. Since I receiving my certification, I've been busy training clients of all ages at various fitness levels.
As a mom, I've learned that it's difficult to carve out time to exercise. That's what prompted me to start my Stride & Ride Program. I want moms, dads and caregivers to be able reap the benefits of exercise while having their kids with them.
I've run marathons, competed in triathlons, swam in open water races and tried every exercise class I could find. Throughout these adventures, I have been injured repeatedly. I know what it's like to have your fitness routine derailed by an injury, and I know how frustrating it is starting from ground zero once you have healed. As a trainer, I'm learning that you can stay active while injured - just not in the same way you did prior to your injury!
